Agency Profile

Stages Model & Talent, Inc. has been in business in the city of Regina since 1985. Kathryn Barnett, the founder of Stages Model & Talent, Inc. Agency, was involved in the business since the age of 17. Her goal for Stages was to provide the opportunity for the young people of Saskatchewan to be promoted to international agencies around the world. She completed that goal in 1987, and promoted models to agencies in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Italy, Paris, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Greece, Spain, New York, Miami, and Canada for almost 18 years.

On August 1, 2005, Stages Model & Talent, Inc. Agency was sold. Fred & Margaret Titanich became the new owners, with Margaret as the Director of the agency. With new owners, came new ideas, and the first noticeable change was that the agency was divided into two divisions. There was now a Modeling Division, and a Talent Division. Yes, Stages expanded their agency to include a talent division, which would include work in television commercials, print advertising, hostessing and feature films that are being shot here in Saskatchewan.

Stages Model & Talent, Inc. Agency believes strongly in training their models and actors before promoting them to clients and international agencies. By attending model and talent conventions and dealing with international agents on a daily basis, Stages can provide their models with the most professional and updating training. Since they work with younger models and actors, they feel that it is so important that they have the confidence, and knowledge to compete in the international markets they are placed in. By providing their people with the proper training, and guidance, their placements have been very successful. International agents have also commented on how well trained and prepared Stages models are when they come to work in their markets. Because of this, they do not need additional training and start working almost immediately. This training also helps them feel more confident since they have the skills to compete against other models and actors with more experience.

Because Stages does promote younger models and actors to national and international markets, they are extremely involved with the parents. Younger models and actors travel with their parents, or a chaperone of the parents choice.

Stages is not overly concerned about the number of placements they have, but the quality of the placements. Before sending a model or an actor to an agency, Margaret will do research on that agency first. If there is any concern over the safety and stability of that agency, or market, she will not send her people there. Because of this, Stages models have had a positive experience and have avoided the "horror stories" that some models have encountered.

Over the years, Stages models have appeared on billboards, magazine covers, catalogues, and runways around the world. Their actors can be seen in feature film projects, commercials and print advertising.

It is our sincere desire to work for you, and become a true "mother" agent to all who are associated with Stages.
